Dairy Products and the Human Physiology

A few years back, I read in a journal of naturists that a vegan claimed that if I saw a monkey drinking mare’s milk, I would believe that humans are ready to eat cow milk. It seems like this man may have a reason. We could use all sorts of anthropological arguments to support this claim. But, the truth is that both the dairy product defenders and their opponents have important points to consider in this debate. These are just a few.

1) Dairy products advocates argue that cow milk, the better-known in the West, is essential for human development and should be included in children’s, adolescents’, and adult diets starting at 40 years. The composition contains 80% water and the remainder is made up of high-quality protein, carbohydrates, and saturated fats. It contains vitamins A, B2, and B1, as well as minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and potassium. There are some people who cannot tolerate milk. However, dairy products such as yogurt, cheese and desserts are acceptable by most people and are not considered intolerance. It is a food that is accepted by all races. We often find out that at least half litres of yogurt is consumed daily in remote areas of the globe where people have lived for over 100 years.

2) Vegans argue that humans don’t need to eat cow’s milk protein to get calcium. This is in addition to ethical concerns about animal freedom. Other sources of calcium include nuts, hazelnuts and molasses as well as green leafy vegetables, sesame seeds, hazelnuts and molasses. Veganism allows you to extract proteins from legumes and cereals.

Another reason to avoid dairy products is the high osteoporosis rate in countries that have a high intake of milk such as the USA and European Union. They also claim that osteoporosis does not occur due to a deficiency in calcium, but rather because of an excessive intake of protein. Calcium is removed from the bones by the body. They also mention that many people cannot tolerate lactose.
